Yep, I see what you mean. I was able to finally navigate to my model files by closing the dialog and retrying, but once I closed the app it wouldn't open again as you said. Hmmmm.

I can tell you that version 1.1.2 doesn't have the problem. I had the same pause problem after I 'upgraded' to 1.1.4 I must have skipped 1.1.3 I always keep the previous rev until I'm sure the new one works for me.

Does anyone know if this bug is being worked on, or do we just scrap this entire program. A little periodic feedback on the issue from Simplify3D would sure be nice unless they don't agree it is an issue.

I don't even know how this is working, but my 'serial cache size' is set to 99 bytes in version 1.1.2, and it works without fail. I went back and checked version 1.1.1, and it also had a setting of 99. The firmware hasn't been changed on the printer as far as I know. What gives?

Well I can tell you that the G-code generated by version 1.1.4 is Ok as I've been running it using version 1.1.2 software and the print is well past the point where the same code under 1.1.4 hung up. I hand a simple 15 minute print hang up last night under 1.1.4, and so I'm beginning to believe that...

I've used brim on many projects where I split the part in two to prevent using supports, and then bond the two halves together. Brim works fine for that as the part is held to the print bed and the bottom bonding surfaces are glass smooth. I can't easily do the same with only the raft available. In ...

I can't believe it. I could have sworn I tried the ascii version of the file and it didn't load last night. It might be that I hadn't restarted the program, because I tried the same file again just now, and it loaded without a problem. Well thanks for the help. It will be ascii STL's from now on! Walt
