[ADDED] delete individual parts from an stl assembly

I would like to be able to select individual components/parts from an stl assembly and remove them. Some files on thingiverse (I'm thinking of Emmett's latest heart gear file) come as an assembly/build platform and it requires a third party programme to remove parts of the assembly. With the new seq...

Re: Feature request: more macro buttons

Hello Clayton, Thanks for looking at the bed levelling issue and for creating a wizard for this process. However, I would like to make some suggestions for the manually defined levelling positions section of the wizard. Could you add a Z co-ordinate column? This will allow the user to input an offse...

[ADDED] Feature request: more macro buttons

I love the software but I think it would be really useful to have 2 or 3 more macro buttons., particularly for levelling the bed of my M2. I have macro 1,2 & 3 set to home my dial gauge/extruder over the three bed levelling screws. It would be handy if I could set another macro to home the extru...

Resolved

Hello everyone, Sorry I haven't posted my progress in so long, and thanks for all the help! Turns out it was 99% human error and & 1% mechanical error! The gear/pully drive for the x axis pulley belt wasn't fully tightened and it had slipped down and was resting flush with the motor. I have sinc...

Re: X shift or 1.1.2 problem?

Thanks Karl. I don't think the glass plate is moving. I printed one model out three times with different speeds and I got identical x shifts every time in the exact same location. What I've noticed the past few days is that the cooling fan for the motherboard is making a rattling sound when in use, ...

Re: X shift or 1.1.2 problem?

Thanks Clayton, I'm going to give this a try, and hopefully it will work. I've slowed my prints down to 3600 mm/min and I'm still getting x shift! I tried printing using slic3r and printrun and I had no x shift but it was printing at 30mm/sec, which is a bit slow, and the quality top surface layers ...

Re: X shift or 1.1.2 problem?

Ive been looking at g code files of models sliced using S3d and slic3r. Ive noticed the the S3D code looks different to the slic3r code for the top feature. S3D applied a blueish colour to the top feature while the top feature in slic3r keeps the original green colour. s3d (640x360).jpg slic3r (640x...

Re: X shift or 1.1.2 problem?

I printed out the objects again, but rotated 90 degress across the x axis. The x axis shift still occurs but it is not as pronounced (picture 1). 01.jpg I then tried printing the objects individually and they printed perfectly. I thought printing two objects at once was the problem so I began printi...

Re: X shift or 1.1.2 problem?

Thanks for the reply. I've checked the wiring and it all seems to be fitting snugly. I'm going to play around with speed settings this weekend and see if this makes any difference. Yesterday I reprinted the files again and the x shift happened at the exact same location. Because the problem is so pr...
