V5 Multiple extruder Wizard

I should have gotten the hint when I saw there was no Profile for the E3D Toolchanger. I added a profile manually, imported a multiple extruder set of models and started up the "Wizard". OUCH!!! Only TWO extruders?!?! and my added profile is not included in the profile list! This is REAL b...

Re: V5: Per Filament settings / machine dimensions

One setting that you need to change as a function of material is Extrusion Multiplier and thats in the Extruder settings. So if you have a multiple extruder with a different material in each you click on the extruder you want to set on the left side list and the settings all reflect that extruder. T...

Re: V5 vertical lift on Toolchange

Ok... I see it.
There's a nice new change to the Toolchange script!
Now you can do a Pre Toolchange script and a Post Toolchange script and a Z hop can easily go in the Pre. Cool.

Re: V5 vertical lift on Toolchange

This is not a problem on the E3D tool changer since that Z hop is done by RRF and not via the slicer's gcode. But for an IDEX it is a serious issue and a vertical lift for retraction on a tool change should be there. There's a lot more IDEX Mendels out there then there are TCs. It's really too bad t...

V5 vertical lift on Toolchange

So the new Retraction on Toolchange settings are nice.
BUT.
It does not do a Vertical Lift (or Z hop) on a tool change! Thats when you need it the most!

Re: V5 Dense support

Yes... that is correct and this new setting at 100% does get me way closer to what we REALLY need and yes this is for when I use PLA for support on a PETG object. What we need is a surface on the top of the dense support that is at least as clean as the top of the print. It's not as bad as I had ass...

V5 Dense support

WOW did you guys ever blow it BIG time!!!
Dense support has NOT been fixed. It does not take a genius to realize that when the top of the dense support is rough the undersides are rough!!!
Not worth the upgrade AT ALL!!!
The person who makes the decisions at this company SHOULD BE FIRED!!!!!!!!

Re: Retraction does not TURN OFF!!!

I went to my MacbookPro which I intentionally NEVER update. I keep it that way so I can still use 32bit apps and boot camp. On that platform it works! On my always updated MacPro it doesn’t. I believe I am correct that due to this company’s neglect and lack of updates that bugs are appearing simply ...

Re: Retraction does not TURN OFF!!!

As I wrote above..I unchecked that first. No effect at all! I went back and rebooted. I loaded a completely different stl file and set a completely different printer with different firmware and simplify3d still inserts retraction into both the preview and the gcode. I even turned it off in the other...
