Re: Swap inside and outside shells

I think you are either going to have to redo your model so it has thickness that matches what you actually want to print or do something to trick the slicer into doing what you want. The only thing I can think of would be to make as many copies of the model that matches the number of perimeters that...

Re: Make permanent firmware changes for Makerbot Replicator 2?

Did you go to tools/firmware configuration? If you select profile makerbot/sailfish from the dropdown and go to the x3g tab you should be able to make the changes you need there.

Re: I hate SD cards!!!!!!!

The card size limitation if firmware related, not hardware. Updating the firmware to Sailfish should solve your problem

Just curious where you got a 0.2 nozzle for your rep2. Also is it mostly a stock machine are do you have some of the various available upgrades?

Re: Where can I adapt prefs for "Build statistics"

Might be good if in a future update there could be a field say under the filament properties which would allow the user to put in a fudge factor for the time on their own printer. That would be great ... Unfortunately the fudge factor is not constant so would not be of much value. I have had 12 hou...

It is not my design. I took a scroll saw pattern, scanned it in, and converted each piece into a 3D print model. Took about 3 months to create the stls and a couple months to print it out.

Showed this off at the Midwest RepRap Festival. Several people commented on the quality of the print.

Re: Run time estimate way off

I think it is not possible to have a completely accurate "estimate". Your firmware settings affect how acceleration is handled and that information the slicer does not know, it can only guess. The material usage on the other hand should be quite close, if it is way off you would have serio...

Re: Simplify3D Version 2.0 Now Available!

What firmware are you using, I cannot get it to read these values. Even after a lengthy attempt to do so. Repetier 0.83 from SeeMeCNC On Windows the default 250000 is the way to go but with the mac it seems the higher value doesn't always work. Fortunately I could connect with Repetier-Host Mac at ...

Re: Simplify3D Version 2.0 Now Available!

My one minor issue seems to be with getting the machine control panel to show extruder temps and allow control of my repetier firmware controled printer. I have a Rostock Max and can use the control panel just fine. I did have a problem at first, my mac didn't like the default 250000 baud rate. I c...
