Re: Inside overhang problems

Thanks for the suggestions. I did a really quick test using 10% for the outline underspeed instead of the typical 50% setting. I kept the layer height at 0.2mm for comparison to my original prints, and there was a difference. I think there were probably about as many strands that didn't stick, but a...

Inside overhang problems

Greetings, I struggled with the title of this post to try to make it descriptive, since I wasn't really sure what to call this. I have an M2, and have started using it a lot more than I did in the past. I upgraded it, and I'm printing almost exclusively PETG now. On a few prints, I've had issues wit...

Re: Feature request: more macro buttons

13brv3 - What version of the software are you using? The ability to change the labels for the Macro buttons was added a few versions ago. Go to Tools > Firmware Configuration and select the Macros tab. Then you can set the name to whatever you want (but you probably want to keep is short since it w...

Re: Feature request: more macro buttons

I also find the macro buttons very useful. I could probably find a use for a couple more, but what I'd really like to see is a way to label them so I can remember what I set them to. I'm thinking maybe a hover help description that can be entered on the page where you set up the macro. Cheers, Rusty

Re: Coast at end, what does it actually do ?

FWIW, I just printed this on "high" resolution, using 190, 185, 180, and 175 temps. Overall, the 185 was probably the best, though it's not that much better than the 190 default. 180 was at least as good, but it had a couple significant issues in it. I'll stay with 185 for a while to see how that wo...

Re: Coast at end, what does it actually do ?

Yes, it's still at the default of 190 degrees. This is all pretty new to me, so I haven't done too much experimenting yet.

Re: Coast at end, what does it actually do ?

OK, here is my attempt with a new factory built M2, and the complimentary purple PLA. The left is default medium (0.25mm) resolution, and right is default high (0.15mm). I think the only thing I've changed is to 4 outer layers, instead of 3, and some of the gcode script. Cheers, Rusty (lousy photogr...

Re: Coast at end, what does it actually do ?

Simplify3D,

Can you provide the pyramid stl file you printed, or a link to it? In a brief search, I found several that were similar, but I'd want to try this with the exact same file if possible.

Thanks,
Rusty
