Re: Gradual Support Infill Percentage and Perimeters

Well I'd like to not have to model the supports. That's a lot more work to do. The outer perimeter support wall could be adjusted in settings to maybe a percent of extrusion width, say 50%. Also, the easy to remove supports has more to do with the interface with the part - like skipping a layer betw...

Gradual Support Infill Percentage and Perimeters

I have a great feature that would help when trying to cut down on the amount of support material used! Right now, it is great that you can split the process up to adjust the support fill percentage so you can use progressive support that gets denser as it gets closer to the overhangs. The only probl...

Re: Micro Z height adjustment while printing

Exactly, and being able to nudge on the fly while the machine is printing the brim is a great feature to have. The first layer is the most important.

Micro Z height adjustment while printing

I'd love to see this implemented in S3D rather than relying on having a newer printer with this feature in their firmware. It's the ability to nudge up or down the Z height while printing so you can adjust the first layer to be perfect without having to re calibrate the Z level of the machine (espec...

Lasso or brush tool for removing large areas of supports

Would be great to have a lasso selection tool to select large areas of supports then hit delete. I always use 1mm support resolution to get into the tightest areas and when you have support you don't need, you have to click every single separate support column when deleting. I've clicked hundreds of...

Re: [Request] Auto Generate support exclude zones

Why can't you just manually remove the supports where you don't want them? I do that all the time, even if I have to click 200 times to get rid of a big area of support. What they really need is a lasso selection tool for selecting support for deleting. That would be great!

Re: Ignore top & bottom solid layers dividing multiple proce

Yes, basically being able to have zero top & bottom surfaces created in between processes without effecting the top & bottom surfaces that are already part of the model. Would also be nice if first layer start height, cooling and temperature settings were ignored also in between processes. It's a pa...

Re: Fractional shell layer height

But isn't it only going to extrude the amount needed for a given layer height? I see what you're saying. If you set your layers to print at say .1mm and you want your infill and supports to print every 2 layers,(as if they're printing at .2mm height) I don't think you will get the extrusion volume n...

[ADDED] Ignore solid layers dividing multiple processes

It would be great to have more options for top & bottom solid layers, especially when printing multiple processes on one object. For example, having the choice to NOT have any solid layers print at the start or end of a process. Sometimes having solid layers printing in the middle of an object creat...

[ADDED] Multiple processes - top & bottom solid layers

When setting up multiple processes, it would be nice if the top & bottom solid surface settings could be set separate from the border layer between processes. Meaning, if you set up 3 processes that will print sequentially, the start layer and end layers of each process would ignore the solid top & ...
