Re: If Simplify 3D version 2.1.0 is CRASHING when you "Prepa

I've seen this as well on a customer's computer. What's weird is it's a win7 64 bit machine, which is what my laptop is as well (which never has any issues). Changing the layer heights made no difference - it crashed with all files and all changes I made. I didn't get a chance to dive too deeply int...

Re: Possible bug - 2.1.0 - Issue with saving .FFF profiles

Tentatively resolved. It was recommended to me to migrate to the XML-style profiles, since this is the new format. Therefore it become necessary to find a working solution that used the XML profiles yet did not set minSpeedLayerTime to 0. In the end the fix was rather simple, if non-obvious. For my ...

Possible bug - 2.1.0 - Issue with saving .FFF profiles

Broken off from http://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=863. In the course of investigating the cause of minSpeedLayerTime being set to zero upon loading the .FFF profile, it's become apparent there is some very odd behavior regarding how S3D reads, exports, and modifies .FFF files. Here...

Re: Bug - 2.1.0 - Cooling settings are being discarded

The plot thickens... I noticed my profile for Bridge does not exhibit the problem of Min Layer Time being set to 0 when the profile is loaded. I opened up the .FFF file in a text editor and noticed the format was completely different than my .FFF file for PLA and ABS. It appears my PLA and ABS profi...

Bug - 2.1.0 - Cooling settings are being discarded

Version 2.1.0 is discarding the minimum layer time settings in my FFF profiles, substituting a zero in the box as shown. http://i.imgur.com/FSEMs8G.jpg The corresponding line in my .FFF file has the correct value, as seen when opened with a text editor: http://i.imgur.com/Esq7R2n.jpg The incorrect s...

Re: Bug - 2.1.0 - Variables in custom gcode are not replaced

Kind of fixed. Variables need to be renamed as follows: [bed_temperature] => [bed#_temperature] [primary_extruder_temperature] => [extruder#_temperature] Where # is the toolhead number in the temperature tab of the FFF settings. Not sure about other variables since those are the only 2 I am using.

Bug - 2.1.0 - Variables in custom gcode are not replaced

Expected behavior: Variables used in custom gcode in the scripts tab should be replaced with the appropriate value. For example: M140 S[bed_temperature] Should become: M140 S45 Actual behavior: Variables are not substituted and are left in the generated gcode file. This results in the heaters not b...
