Re: V5 disappointments

Says there are custom support shapes, for the life of me I can't find where you can do that. Only place I found is: import custom support stl as model -> right click on the model -> change model type -> custom support So yes, you can use custom supports but that means you need to draw it up externa...

V5 - Custom Support Shapes

Custom Support Shapes Supports can now be defined based on a custom 3D model file, unlocking new capabilities for even the most complex prints. Can someone explain what this feature is? 1) does it only mean I can import a STL and define it as support (Import Model -> right click on imported model -...

Re: Dual extrusion and precise scaling & first layer issue

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, this is the GE Engine fan.

I have uploaded the dual extrusion model to Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:487805
The factory file (170% version) is attached.

Re: Dual extrusion and precise scaling & first layer issue

Thanks for the reply. I just completed a quick print (please ignore the issues in the red layers towards the top, extruder was skipping). This is the model printed with Makerbot Desktop http://i58.tinypic.com/2vnqc91.jpg This is the same model printed with S3D. http://i62.tinypic.com/2yjwswg.jpg You...

Dual extrusion and precise scaling & first layer issue

Hi, Scaling I'm unable to find a way to scale 2 objects by % for dual extrusion. While I can import the 2 stl files, merge them with SHIFT+Center and Arrange and scale them with the mouse by SHIFT+CTRL+Right Mouse button, I'm unable to scale them to a precise % like I could by right clicking the obj...

Re: Holes in the top layers: Replicator 2X

Hi Clayton, the Rep2 profile you provided worked with the 2X right extruder and solved the issue for ABS (when switched to PLA I get the same issue again though). But unfortunately I'm back to square one now on the usage of the left extruder due to the start gcode changes (initializes T0 only as it ...

Re: Makerbot 2x(Sailfish) Basic setup

no, I'm using the SD only for printing.
Now that I have my ABS gap issue solved I'm trying to get the left extruder to work.
Sad that the product still does not support the 2X properly "out of the box" till now

Re: Holes in the top layers: Replicator 2X

Hi Clayton,

Not yet as I have to adjust them for the 2X.
I sued the standard 2X profiles that came with the 1.1.4 release.

I will adapt your profile and see how this goes.

Eric
