license issue

I am a licensed Simplify3D user with product key. I have had it since its early release days. I recently purchased a surface pro and attempted to install it on the new machine. I get an error that indicates I have used up all my licenses. Hmm... before this, I only had one computer. If I have instal...

Re: Found 2.0.0 in the downloads last night

I had a notice of the new version when I started up Creator this afternoon. Unfortunately, they still have not invested effort in documenting their product. I couldn't even get the quick start guide to pull up. I hate to rant, but I really can't believe in a company that invests all their efforts in...

Re: Makergear M2 Configuration

I have tweaked the coast and retract to get rid of most of the blobs at layer start locations. However, when you do that and try to print something like a 3mm column, it can't do it.

Re: How to use supports in S3d

You know though, it does seem like they could put some resources to filling in some of the blanks so when you click on a question mark on an open menu, you wouldn't get a red circle with a line through it. I worked in product development for many years and found documentation is always a pain, usual...

Re: How to use supports in S3d

Hmmm.... More experimenting and it doesn't seem to matter whether you select.

Geese, I swear I couldn't get it to work before. Now, it seems like a monkey could do it.

Duhhh

Re: How to use supports in S3d

Hmmm, should I feel stupid?... The KEY is to "select" the model. I only had one model and didn't realize I had to tell it I wanted to add support to the only model on the table. If you don't select the model, it just ignores your requests. That sure would have been easy to put in a brief d...

Re: Makergear M2 Configuration

You want the plastic response in the extruder head to be hard or crisp. Probably not the best words to describe the characteristic. What I am thinking though is kind of like getting air in the hydraulics of car brakes. They get spongy. For instance, if your hot end design was prone to trap a bubble ...

Re: Makergear M2 Configuration

I am wondering if this blobbing anomaly has to do with S3d or with the M2 extruder. Early this year, I built a ordbot hadron for my grandson. The extruder that came with it was really bad so over quite a bit of time and threads on their forum, we ended up with a direct drive, Makergear drive gear, a...

How to use supports in S3d

Boy, a little documentation on this product would sure help. The quick start guide explains the obvious features, but I can't find anything on many of the features like controlling the auto support and using the manual support features. The extra words when I hover over a feature usually just says t...
