Re: Thin walls

I think another thing to keep in mind here is S3D also cannot do a single pass (i.e., single perimeter) on thin walls. For instance, if you have a 0.4mm nozzle/extrusion width and slice a 0.4mm wide wall, S3D will create 2 perimeters for that wall (basically an inside one and an outside one). This e...

Re: Printing multiple identical copies with sequential print

I have been asking for this feature for a while too (requested over a year ago). It seems like it should not be a lot of work for them to support sequential printing of the exact same model using only 1 process.

Re: Tip of the Day 12- Vase Mode

With vase mode don't be afraid to go really thick with the extrusion width. I've done 1.2mm thickness on a 0.4mm nozzle and it worked great. Just keep in mind flow rate issues (i.e., print at smaller layer height to reduce flow rate). A 1.2mm thick vase will be about 2^3=8x stronger than a vase prin...

Re: Tolerance adjustments - yippee

BaudR8 has the idea. I can't imagine many cases where you would use a positive value. A positive value can be very useful if you want to print an assembly (say off of thingiverse) but want to print it larger (say 2x or 3x larger). I've wanted to do exactly this on some models, but then the built in...

Re: Sequential printing within a process

+1 I would like this as well. Sometimes I print 20x of the same part sequentially, and that means manually creating 20 processes and manually choosing each part for each process. An enhancement that allows 1 process with multiple models to print sequentially would be great. Obviously all the print s...

Re: Single thickness walls (Spurs)

Yes! I could really use this feature. I've wanted it for over a year (and requested it a year ago). It would be my #1 request.

Re: Feature Request: Minimize Perimeter Crossing

I second this request. It would be extremely useful for me!

Re: Will this work as a vase mode?

As far as I know you can only have 1 perimeter in vase mode. So, to do a large mask like that you would need a hot end with a large nozzle (~0.75mm or something) so it can do it in 1 pass.

Re: thin wall parts

I really hope they can improve this in the version after 2.1 as I do a lot of thin-walled parts. In a really old version there used to be a check box to detect thin walled parts, but it didn't work that well. What I mean by that is instead of printing the loop twice, it would print it once, then tra...
