Re: Proper documentation and more support for variables

Please, Please, Please some clear documentation on what's available! Even a clearer site post would be really good! Maybe not the ends of the earth documentation, but a decent amount and a clear list of variables and usage would be really helpful! Things are really not executing as expected under th...

Re: Single Process, dual extruder, nozzle heating

Just ran into something that might help you out, something that may be from looking in different places. Let me walk you through how I have my profiles set up to do EXACTLY what you are wanting without having my 2nd nozzle heat up. I have the regular process that I like (say a character model proces...

Re: Dual Hotends Startup Script

I've been trying to do a bunch of things with dual print heads and I'm pretty sure it's not possible. But the good news is that you can do what you want to do pretty easily - set up multiple profiles. It's an extra step, but not everything is perfectly set to work with an IF statement (and most slic...

Re: Dual extruder print offset issue

In addition to this, you may need to set both to have offsets - mine requires an offset of -6.5 on the left and 6.5 on the right instead of just a straight 13. There are also ways to set it in the starting gcode instead of needing to always update the machine definition (though it's about the same t...

Re: S3D not printing some tiny parts

Yes, take what the previous poster said and mess with settings for thin wall features to allow printing of small features under advanced. Then change the behaviors of single extrusions to print a smaller width than your nozzle diameter. Keep changing those settings slightly until you start seeing th...

Re: TAZ 6 Zero offset

Hope you fixed this, especially as the latest firmware update removed any use for zoffset from the cura version. The leveling and starting code should be the same, the main difference will be that s3d still can implement the zoffset in the gcode if you need it after leveling.

Re: getting Right extruder to work on solo print

Yes it is definitely possible, I do it all the time on my Taz. But deleting an extruder won't work at all. You need to set up for both extruders, then set the left extruder to zero temp, then choose the right extruder for all of your print items like infill (I actually set that to the wrong one on a...

Re: Single Process, dual extruder, nozzle heating

I don't have an exact answer, just some possibly helpful info, and may come back in the future if I find something more helpful (note some of this could have changed in the very last update since I've done less dual printing, but I'm not sure it has): 1. To properly slice a dual extrusion print, you...

Re: Z axis offset

I hope you mean you only want to RE calibrate your Z rarely, you should definitely do it at least once really well first. Then some of the marlin firmware lets you set Z offset if it's flat but just off of the mechanical switch/firmware a bit. But the gcode tab process settings lets you offset all o...

Re: Ooze-Shield bug still there

I'd like to add to this a separate, semi counter, semi similar thought: Please allow an option for brim on the prime tower! 3d printing nerd just spoke about this, and I keep having the same problem - if I use a prime tower, it's likely to fail because there's just so much fill there. Cura uses a ho...
