Re: Had a print come out bad checked and S3D is adding the b

yes in the preview uncheck the retraction box. those are just markers to indicate those. also, unless you print 1/2 dozen of those at once its going to come out looking terrible due to too much heat buildup. you need to allow cooling time. printing multiple items at once will increase layer time

Re: Vase mode issue

dorsai has it right on. the problem here is that the perimeter is stepping over so far that there is a gap it needs to fill. you can A, lower the layer height, B, increase extrusion width. probably best to do a combination of both.

Re: Is there a setting that disregards smaller features

yes it take 2 perimeters to make that feature so if your ext width is set ot .5mm then that needs to be 1mm in width.

Re: Vase mode - setting wall thickness

The extrusion width setting will cause the printer to extrude at the width you have it set to.....assuming your multiplier is set correctly

Re: Incorrect extrusion width

The problem is the walls have to be 2x your extrusiion width. The outer wall is comprised of 2 surfaces. S3d puts an extrusion on each surface. It will not make the outer wall with a single extrusion. There are some setting that fudge this a little like the thin wall setting which allos for an overl...

Re: Rasberry PI

Cant say i have ever heard of anyone putting s3d on a pi. Not sure if it will run on it or not. Generally you would put octoprint on the pi and that would run your printer. S3d would just be used to slice your model. I have two printers running this way and it works great

Re: Save Toolpaths to Disk (v3.1.0) always saves with .gcode

Funny, my files have never saved as a .g. Always as a .gcode ever since i started using s3d in 1.1.4. Even now after the update it still saves a .gcode both on mac and pc

Re: Extrusion (wall thickness) problem

In addition to wha these guys said, be sure your filament dia is actually what your filament measures. Also, your multiplier will never be .5, thats too low. Your infill wint print because you are under extruding. Multiplier will always be 9.0 - 1.05 if your dia is set right. This was mentioned prio...
