Re: Graphics bug with HI-Res/4K monitor

The simple solution "Override high DPI scaling behavior"
doesn't seem to work on Windows 10 x64 Version 1607.

The menues and some texts are still clipped.

Re: Calibrating Process/Profile for good prints

Makerbot screwed up the steps-per-mm for the Replicator 2. By default every part is printed too short in X and Y. To correct this for S3D you need a custom GPX.ini with a higher value for steps-per-mm. We discussed this several times in the Makerbot operators google group. Search for it over there. ...

Re: fff for nylon

Dried properly the Taulman 618 prints like ABS. Put the spool in a hot air oven at 80°C for two hours. Then print with the still hot filament. You will have to print some calibration cubes to fine tune the extrusion factor. Try UHU glue stick on the build plate. Works very well for Taulman 618 on a ...

Re: Which screw to turn?

A layer height of 1,7 mm doesn't work for a 0,4 mm nozzle.

Re: GPX-conversion for Replicator 2 with heated build plate

I use the heated build plate developed and sold by Bottleworks.

Perfectly flat borosilicate glass plate. Professional build quality.

Highly recommended. It doesn't get better.

GPX-conversion for Replicator 2 with heated build plate

Recently my Replicator 2 got upgraded with a heated build plate.
Please add a"Replicator 2 with HBP" to the list of selectable printers in Creator
and the string -m r2h to the GPX conversion command for postprocessing.

Re: Please fix 5D printer support

My try-and-error calibration for a fixed extrusion width of 0,4mm and certain layer heights is only a workaround.

What we would need is Auto Extrusion Rate or 5D as explained by Wingcommander.

[ADDED] Feature request for Stacked Infill

KISSlicer and Skeinforge can print infill every N perimeter layers. This leads to high quality surfaces and sturdy infill printed in a short time. Stacked infill printed every third layer at 0,090 mm layer height saves about one third of print time. Please consider to offer this very useful feature ...

Re: Is anyone having luck printing .1 mm with Replicator 2x

During calibration I measured the extruded path width on the printed parts several times. The sharp tip of the MK 8 nozzle doesn't squish out the extruded plastic. With the right amount of plastic extruded the extruded path is a little bit less than 0,4 mm wide. I used 0,4 mm as a standard extrusion...
