Re: New supported printers missing in config assistant

Send an email to Support@simplify3d.com. Just tell them the email address on your account and what profile you need. They're pretty good with that. Good luck

Re: Calibration Cube looks awful, looks great in CURA

I've had that exact same problem with corners that seemed to get larger and higher on each turn! A couple solutions have already been suggested, but I thought you'd be interested to know that your photos look exactly like the photos on the "curling corners" page of the Simplify3D Troublesh...

Re: Introduce new bridging strategy in supports

I agree that the sparse/dense support feature is the preferred method (using dense material only at the top of the support). I always advise people to view their supports as a network , and NOT as a table leg. When I started out, I placed supports around my prints like table legs, but they were pron...

Re: Vase model, cut X-Y

vase mode was first released in v2.0 and since then it has never done multiple perimeters. it has always been one single perimeter. it starts extruding at the bottom and does a single corkscrew of filament until it gets to the top. you cant do that with multiple perimeters. if you were doing that p...

New videos - really helpful

Looks like about 10 new videos have been posted to YouTube- fantastic!! I like that each one is short and specific - even the Dual Extrusion video. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQP0KuWKndRvvTbLVYWZXnQ I just watched the one describing the new Group feature, which I didn't really understand how t...

Re: Preserve STL object position at import

It took me a while to learn the SHIFT KEY trick with dual extrusion prints.

When you import the parts, they will be separated. But if you hold down the SHIFT KEY and click "Center and Arrange", those parts line up perfectly! Is that what you were describing?

Re: Newbie here...What am I doing wrong?

Reducing the size of the supports is a great next step. Just remember this.....the smaller the print (or the supported area), the smaller you should make your support resolution. So try 1mm supports instead of 4 mm supports. Here's another cool trick to diagnose a problem area.....drop most of your ...
