Simplest way to cut an object

There are no cut feature in Simplify3d. What method are people using to cut up large objects for printing? I need something simple for novices or kids.

Re: Flashforge Homing problem with 2.1.1

the problem is that it doesn't wipe. It now drags a long string of cooled filament onto the plate.

What is good is how makerware wipes across the plate

Flashforge Homing problem with 2.1.1

The previous S3D homes to the right corner near the front of the build plate. 2.1.1 homes to the left corner near the front of the build plate. I use the right extruder and the extruder is off the plate. when it starts printing the nozzle is not on the plate when purging. No "teardrop" and...

Re: Feature request

we need different types of infills and more controls. Currently the infills are weak especially when used with multiple infill angles say 90,-90, 45, -45. S3d currently lays each line per layer. The default use random infill placement makes things even weaker. I can hear the infill break when applyi...

Re: Feature recommendation: supports

+2 on this.

Other software like UP has this and it's very useful!

100 % support for clean bottom side is a waste of material as of now.

For now, I'm using a profile with 90, -90, 45, -45 at 40 % or lower to make a denser support without using more material.

Re: print sparse infill speed

Bummer. Thanks for the thought. Anyone else use 'Sparse Infill' and have some stepper skipping and want to slow infill down ? I have this problem with stepper skipping when infill is fast. But shouldn't the software compensate for the extrusion rate for infill because i have no problems with high s...

Re: Manual Supports not working in 2.1

I've got a better solution for the moment. Until the support finds out an fix it... (within the next 6 months) Left click on the Simplify3D application and choose Get Info. There is a check box saying "Open in Low Resolution". Check this and you are done. Thanks! This worked for me on Ret...
