Re: Printer setting file path in OSX?

Adrian,
under the user where you installed S3D you will find:
./Library/Preferences/com.simplify3d.Creator.plist

I am not sure if you find anything you look for.
There is a nice OSX utility Find Any File
On your own risk. You need to be SU
Hope this helps. Jakob

Re: What does this button do?

Unfortunately the X3G button is not mentioned in this great document. BTW: under this TAB I see the comment "This section is For MakerBot Printers Only!" I have the suspicion by changing the Profile to other than Replicator 2 (default config) it is influencing the Firmware of a attached Marlin Contr...

Re: Wider extrusion width for first layer...

I work with 0.1 Z offset using a glas plate and spraying hairspray on it.
The bed is heated to 100C.
This works great for ABS with layer thickness down to 0.15.
Plus a speed reduction of min 50%

Re: Speed - mm/minute? Why not mm/sec?

I did not get the impression that CatDog was questioning the quality of the Software. As I read it he pointed to the missing documentation. We all have paid for this Software of wich I think works pretty well and produces good results. Is is to much if some user ask for some documentation to shorten...

Re: Feature Request: First Layer Thickness

Hi, specially when you work with ABS the first Layer is more sensitive to adhesion printing with small layer hight. To eliminate this issue I use Hairspray. Spraying it on the PET Foil. Jakob

Fine tuning of Z hight without regeneration of Gcode

Hi, to determine the optimal Z hight I am looking to give the Z axis a small Z offset value. As far as I can see all the Parameters i can influence in S3D require a new "Prepare" action" which changes the Z hight. ( I have tried in menu model setting and Gcode/Gcode offset.) Having this functionalit...

Re: Problem with first layer

Jim,
Its the first layer only. Interestingly If I put a raft around. The Raft extrusion is right but the actual 3D piece is under extruded.
