Re: Slow down for small loops?

Old post, but 4.0 just came out and I still wish for this. I know that some think this is a firmware or acceleration issue. I disagree. I'll quote Dan, a primary contributor to the sailfish firmware again, as I did in the original post: This is often discussed: small tight circles need to be printed...

Re: Small loop at end of job dissfigured

Old post, but 4.0 came out and I've been hoping for this... I'd like to +1 for an option on the cooling tab to orbit or park for a minute to slow down. As mentioned earlier, slowing down on its own pumps a lot of heat into small features like the tips of pyramids or narrow towers. Slowing it down do...

Better anchoring for solid layers over sparse infill

Looking to have better support for solid infill (especially layers that are only partially solid) See this picture for what I'm talking about: http://i.imgur.com/HMwYID8.png The green solid infill is placed on top of the gray sparse layer below, but the "edges" of the solid infill are floa...

Re: Slow down for sp

Thanks for the bump. You may be interested in setting up sailfish to have lower acceleration values. So that you will not need dynamic speeds at a software level. This would mean that the machine would handle much better for smaller movements instead of attempting to ramp upto full speed in a matte...

Re: Slow down for sp

Just wanted to bump this thread again. After fighting with this for a while, and trying the "SlowDownForSmallLoops" app, I finally gave up. (It wasn't the app, it was my part. Couldn't find a threshold that would work for the small circles without also affecting smaller straight perimeters...

I think this request is a duplicate of this one: http://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=654

Slow down for small loops?

Is there a way to instruct Simplify3D to slow down for small loops? Funny, I was just having this issue yesterday, and now there's a discussion of the phenomenon here: https://groups.google.com/d/topic/makerbot/yxOZdPjS5aw/discussion I was specifically experiencing the problem with concentric fill, ...

Re: Feature Request- Machine profiles.

I'll second this. In addition to machine profiles that define machine capabilities (HBP, extruders, cooling fan, steps per MM, firmware & g-code dialects, etc.), I'd like to see material profiles - filament diameters, extruder temperatures, color, retraction extrusion multipliers. In my ideal wo...
