Re: Top Layer has not enough overlap over the Infill.

The bosses' bottom layer has already been printed (in this example), I understand that. But, there is no reason why a new "bottom layer" couldn't be printed across the entire part once it got to the layer shown in the image. This would provide additional support for the boss. Any other met...

Re: Top Layer has not enough overlap over the Infill.

You mean this topic? https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1809&p=8831&hilit=boss#p8831 Looks like it was locked. Regardless, v3.0 didn't fix my issue with bosses on the bottom. In my example, the inside of the boss continues to fill at a 30% infill. I would rather have the f...

Height specific Process application

Instead of Starts and Stops at XX mm height for any process, how about a "Apply at the following heights: " with a list of individual heights (single-layer only) to apply a different process?

Re: slicing bug with small cylinder on large cylinder

What is interesting here is if you use 0 for top and bottom solid layers, but set Infill at 100%, the code can and will fill in those voids. Something about the solid layers causes it to not fill in those areas. Should at least give us option to turn this on or off...

Re: Gap in bridge

That affects it. I am at 50%. Went down to 10%, but then a new gap is left on the other end. Hmm...

Gap in bridge

Noticed that a gap is produced in the bridge layer. This example starts printing from the bottom-right bridge infill, and it fills everything in except for that vertical gap near the left-most green line. Almost seems like a rounding error... S3D_BridgeGap.jpg This is at .40 nozzle size and .48 extr...

All shells but outer most run at 62.5% Max speed?

Did some calculations, looks like the inner shells run at 62.5% maximum speed. Can anyone confirm?

EDIT: Looks like they take half of your outer perimeter speed, and add it to 50%. So, if your outer speed was 25%, then 50%+ (25/2) = 62.5%

Re: Slow down for small loops?

Using lower acceleration in Sailfish doesn't work completely, and you would have to use a very low number on both X,Y accel and X,Y max speed change, which then ends up slowing your print drastically. You may be able to do this: - Scan your GCODE file before converting to .X3G/.S3G for any E segment...

Could we have more descriptive gcode? Follow each line with a comment:

Need Adjustable Speed for shells other than outer shell

It's great that we can control outer most shell speed, but I like to have infill at a very fast speed, but inner shells at a slower speed. A separate "Inset" speed control would help to control some tight radii.
