Re: Zits.

Do you happen to have a better photo you could post? Might it be retract speed related? Meaning, if you have retract speed set too high, you might be developing a little back pressure in the hot end that then relaxes and produces a zit. I would suggest a reasonable retract speed but my brain doesn't...

Re: Major bug, x-axis leaning to the right (positive)

Your issue really suggests a mechanical or electrical problem but there are inconstancies based on your description. Can you tell if this skewing starts with the second layer or do the parts (ribs they are called) print multiple layers before skewing? If the later, does the skew happen at the same l...

Re: Major bug, x-axis leaning to the right (positive)

We have a genuine mystery on our hands. Do you have any photos of the Cura prints? I was expecting to see some higher speed moves or rapids in the S3D gcode that might cause a physical skewing due to skipped steps or belt slippage, etc. But the speeds between the two gcode files are very similar. Do...

Re: Major bug, x-axis leaning to the right (positive)

Thanks, the Cura code was helpful. So, I reviewed both files and ran some simulations and statistics on them. I can find no oddities in the S3D code that would account for the lean you are seeing. When one of my printers frees up, I'll try to print the S3D file. It looks like you were printing PLA w...

No need to spend time printing it, let's look at it first. You never know what you might find tucked away in there.

Another Q&D test is to run it through a gcode analyzer. I like http://gcode.ws

Re: Perimeters Print Logic Is Wrong

Ah, yet one more pile of scat left by our new friend, Scott. You know nothing about what and how much I print. Let me add some clarity so you don't make an ass out of yourself again Scott. I print exclusively in PLA. I have printed well over 1000 kilos of PLA over the last 4 years. I have contribute...

Re: Major bug, x-axis leaning to the right (positive)

If you could post your gcode we could take a look at it and see if there is something in the code. I'm very curious about this since you say that you sliced in Cura and print in S3D works fine, slice in S3D and run in Cura host results in a slanted part. That is a good test (along with your other pe...

Re: Zits.

Vinny1575, do you happen to have FFF Settings->Extruder->"Extra Restart Distance" set to something >0? That will certainly put a zit at the start of a perimeter too.

Re: Speed - mm/minute? Why not mm/sec?

Well, I see that you've left your naive scat on every post I've made. It is rather presumptuous of you to make the assumptions you've made and then turn it into a personal attack. Rather than stoop to your low position Scott (and I observe that you've had issues on other, let's say car-related, foru...

Re: Feature Request: Auto Reload Of Last Factory File

And worse than that, it always goes to the Documents (or equivalent platform folder) for loading, and especially annoying, saving each and every file. Come on, this is 2014 (well, OK, S3D was released in 2013 - but come on, that was 2013)!
