Re: Printer Preview

I did pick my printer in the original configuration assistant but it didn't show the platform. I went back and did the config assistant again and it showed up. Not sure why but it is working now.

Re: Simply fix to increase strength of Infill

I think the solid infill underspeed only affects the top and bottom solid layers, not the sparse infill. Having %140 or even %180 infill width actually creates very strong sparse infill for me. The issue is then the extruder cannot keep up on the infill and I have to slow the whole process down wit...

Re: Scale by size

Why would you have to do this? When you change the scale, you can close the dialogue box and then open it again and see what the new size is. It would be nice if it updated automatically but a couple extra clicks isn't really that difficult. Amen. I have a part I need to print specifically at 50mm a...

Re: Scale by size

Do some basic algebra if you want to know what scale to set to reach a certain size. X scale / Required Size = Current Scale / Current Size In your example of wanting "50mm" for your X size, the math is as follows (assume it is currently 25mm in x direction for ease of math) X/50 = 1/25 X=1/25 * 50 ...

Re: Perimeter Slow Down - Only Once, Not extra each perimete

I agree the underspeed is important. I am saying that even with 2 perimeters, the inside perimeter is running at 50% and then the next (outer) perimeter is running even slower. Why is there a progressively slower and slower underspeed instead of just following the 50% I told it to run.

Perimeter Slow Down - Only Once, Not extra each perimeter

Maybe I am wrong but I think S3D is slowing down the perimeters by the percentage you input in the profile for every successive perimeter. Meaning this: If I put 4 perimeters on a part and I drop to 50% under-speed for perimeters, the first inside perimeter slows down to 50%, then the next one slows...

Re: Feature Request: Change Filament at Height

You could say that for a plethora of things you want to do. Just go edit the Gcode.... Oh, then also run it manually through GPX with all the proper flags. Or just give an option, like the 50,000 other options we have and make it accessible to the masses instead of the few that want to fiddle though...

Re: Mouse Ears

Just use a brim. It works great and peels off very easy with no damage. This already exists in the software btw.

Brim Print Order

When you print a part with multiple brims in different locations, the gcode does one outline on each brim and moves back and forth between them all until all the brim outlines are done. It seems like on multiple brims, you could just finish one (including the actual 1st layer of the part inside the ...
