Re: Looking for a S3D profile for a Voron 2.4 printer

Agreed, I'm getting more comfortable with SS and use it for all my Voron prints but I still like the S3D user interface better. Sometimes it's the stupid little stuff like SS doesn't have the wire frame representing the build volume which helps me visually understand how close my model comes to the ...

Re: Looking for a S3D profile for a Voron 2.4 printer

I asked in the Voron community first both on Discord and Facebook. They refuse to discuss Simplify3D anymore and push SuperSlicer.

Re: Looking for a S3D profile for a Voron 2.4 printer

I don't understand why you are here to give that kind of reply, if S3D is dead to you then why are you still on their forums? While the current version is 2 years old and nobody really believes V5 is ever coming out, the current version does work and for my existing printers is what I still prefer t...

Re: Looking for a S3D profile for a Voron 2.4 printer

This is the last place I expected that reply. I am aware that SuperSlicer has a profile for it, but I still want to have the option to use S3D which I still like better.

Looking for a S3D profile for a Voron 2.4 printer

I'm in the process of building a Voron 2.4 printer (250^3 build area). Does anyone have a S3D profile to share?

Re: add surface pattern by varying extrusion rate on the perimeters

+1, but these sound like two different features to me. The texture feature could be implemented as a generated feature (take this model and just add a texture to it), but the vase example would have to give you some other way to model the feature you want to add - maybe that would be specifying a se...

Re: Windows 10

My take on why Windows 10 is being offered as a free upgrade for Windows 7+ is as follows: When Microsoft was looking to implement tablet support they were also looking at Apple and Google taking a cut of every piece of software sold on those devices via their app stores. Microsoft's model was that ...

Ooze shield prints AFTER first layer in dual print

After 3.0.0 came out I tried the dual printing support and noticed that if you've selected an ooze shield addition it prints AFTER the first layer is complete. This means that the inactive extruder has the entire first layer to ooze all over the model. It should clearly print the ooze shield BEFORE ...

Re: Multiple failures for dual extruder printing

As a fellow beta owner of the dual extrusion upgrade for the MakerGear M2 I agree that everyone will consider the left extruder the primary on a MakerGear M2 and Simplify3D becomes a mess because it assumes the opposite. This should really get fixed as it's going to come up a lot more once the dual ...

Re: Tip of the Day 10- Extruder tab, a technical analysis

This is really great information - why can't it be placed in the help menu of the software itself???
