Re: Version 5 Announcement

I'm on the fence to buying the (student) version of S3D because I need some very specific functionality, but this whole v5 topic holds me back from doing so. What's the status on the upgrade from v4.1 to v5, especially if bought now. Will I have to pay anything or will it be free because I'm within...

Re: Version 5 Announcement

I hope so. I just sub'd Fusion 360 and their slicing/support/additive process would rock if they made it work like S3D....and the updates would be often.

Re: Version 5 Announcement

Any hints on a feature list? Or when the list of features might be posted? Your supporters are looking for info. Something. News, challenges, successes.....maybe an appetizer before the meal.....at least a beer...something. I can't imagine announcing a few things would jeopardize the success of V5 ....

Re: Version 5 Announcement

S3D is my go to slicer. I think most in here feel the same. When V5.0 has a ‘Buy and download’ button preceded by a list of new features, not many in here won’t be excited. I for one will support the company as using this software for by business as well as for personal use has made printing easier ...

Re: Version 5 Announcement

I'm waiting for the announcement that S3D is merging or was bought out by'XXX.' It seems to me that news would flow fairly well up until V5.0 was news was approaching Dec. 2019. The radio silence is odd...as if details are being hammered out about a team transition, merger or loss of coders. I'm sti...

Re: Cubic infill

I agree.

I'd go so far as allowing modders to make plug-ins that can be sold on a 'plug-in' page where revenue could be shared by both the submitter and S3D.
It's the next best thing to open source.

.99 for a plug in? Maybe 1.99.
Let users make stuff for users.

Re: Multi Process Grouping bug

I also requested a way to select the order the parts are printed in.

And allowing the ooze shield to be placed where it is needed the most.

it makes the most sense to print in the order the models are listed in the 'Models' list.

Add-ins

I remember seeing the tab for Add-ins when I first bought S3D. I thought this would allow others to make add-ins or plug-ins that would allow the community to write in new features for the software. The community has a lot of skilled coders. Why not let us create more functionality to this great sof...
