Re: Horrible noise in X1-Carbon. Any ideas?

I just started back with S3D (thanks for the new updates) because I wanted to try it with my Bambu. The Bambu X1C has had no issues with Bambu Studio or Orcaslicer. Yet, starting today with S3D I have had this same BRRRRRRTTTT issue and came to check on the forum. I was glad to see others with this ...

Re: Printing bridge over the hole

This one is .2000 height rotated. I did not include a 2nd "fixed" pic, but when I switch the rotated model to .2500 layer height the bridge disappears.

Re: Printing bridge over the hole

Here are my examples. It strongly suggests something in the layer heights is unhappy. Using S3D 3.2 on a printer-dedicated 5ish year old Mac Mini using OS 10.6.8. No other software installed except stock Apple software, S3D, and Google Drive. Never had a problem with this until version 3. bridge.jpg...

Re: Printing bridge over the hole

I was able to find a workaround for the problem. Try changing the layer height. I went from 0.20mm layer height (with mystery bridging and VERY ruined print in the preview) to 0.25mm (with no mystery bridging). That, paired with your angle change should make it pretty evident that it is not a modeli...

Re: Printing bridge over the hole

I have been having this same issue since v3 came out. No matter how clean and simple you build an item, it wants to put in a single layer bridge somewhere. I will also sometimes get very strange infills and areas that will not print at all. Files that had no problem running in V2 now do not print co...

Wrote an article for 3dprint.com with a shout out to S3d

This is an article I wrote describing the design process for my entry into the #make it float challenge on Thingiverse. Of course S3D gets a mention.

Re: Terrible quality under support structure

Are you just using one layer for the skin? It's hard to tell in your pic, but is the support material you can see through the gaps? So your problem is on the exterior, not on the interior? A second/third perimeter skin will help.

Re: If Simplify 3D version 2.1.0 is CRASHING when you "Prepa

Similar problem here. Crashes when processing med/large prints (an hour+ print time on medium quality). Does not seem to affect smallish prints (sub 15 min print time on medium). Following a crash, if I load the default Makergear M2 (my machine) .fff profile, and process the same file, it has no iss...

Re: request- save as .g file extension

+1

This would save us some clicks for the Makergear M2 owner's that your software is recommended for.
