OK, so I know I screwed something up. I was pressing keys on my keyboard (thought a different program was active) and all of a sudden the text in my communication window got jumbo sized.
I sometimes make my own custom support when there is a special need. Way back when I use Slic3r I could make a wall that was 200um thick for support and it printed fine but Simplify just ignores those. So, today I made some custom support that was 400um wide figuring it would be plenty. Took me 20 m...
Thinking of upgrading my Mac from Yosemite to Sierra but early on in the El Capitan upgrade I heard there were issues getting Macs to connect reliably to 3D printers (or Arduinos for that matter). Just want to be sure it's safe to do so.
Is it possible your main window has been shrunk down a little so you can't see the machine control icon (it's happened to me and fooled me for a few seconds).
No updates to firmware. Nothing changed but a printed camera mount added to the machine. That's what is perplexing me, nothing that I know of has changed.

If I turn on S3D first then I have to hit the connect button. But in the last few months I have to hit the connect button several times (2-4) before it will ...
So I have a TAZ 5 printer and mostly print ABS. I just bought a roll of PETG to try out and while the print looks really good the top is horrific. I used the same basic settings I use for ABS except the temperatures. .35mm nozzle bed 70c hotend <Left Cube>240c, <Right Cube> 235c 10% infill Perimeter...
Fixed. After trying every combination I just could not get a good print. Thankfully I figured out where the temporary setting are stored on Mac and since I use time machine I was able to just bring back a known good setting from December and my prints are buttery smooth again. This time I saved the ...
This issue is driving me nuts. I use to get cleaner top layers on my TAZ 5. Now I thought it was an infill overlap issue (normally set to about 10%) but I have taken it down to 0 and up to 30 without the issue changing much at all. Now, I don't believe I am over extruding as the infill lines barely ...
