I found the bug after digging some more on a print today.
The issue is that the solid layers don't print at all if there isn't enough space to print ALL of them. So if I have 3 solid layers of support and there is only one layer below the first layer of real material, I get no solid support at all.
It won't start printing for 3-4 layers?? Is this a time thing or a vertical distance thing? Sounds like you need to work that out rather than try to tweak the model placement to accommodate. For me, my starting gcode moves the print head off the side and purges a bunch of plastic to make sure when i...
I do some printing now and then with round edged containers. Sometimes, when I want the quality really good I use PVA as a support material and print with 0 offset from the part. This used to work fine as far as I can remember back but lately in 4.1.1 I'm having issues with the first layer not match...
+1. I've wanted this too. It allows you to more easily print with more space infill. AND... It's not that hard. They already do this exact thing with dense support layers for support material. All they have to do is use the exact same logic for infill layers. Dense infill layers: <N> -> Number of de...
Existing tool change default behavior Stop-> Retract -> move to prime pillar -> purge -> fill prime pillar print -> layer print I have two problems with that process that I wish were easily solved without having to do a bunch of hack work. 1) Stop-> Retract At this step, the hot nozzle is positioned...
I often use duel color prints to use alternate material supports... Many times, I only need the support material on the bottom portion of the model. Is there an easy way other than manually creating two processes to stop using a prime pillar after the support is no longer needed? My current solution...
Great work on making the timing more accurate. I've been wanting this as my estimates on time are generally 2/3 of actual print time. So.. I sliced a model that I just sliced in 4.0 yesterday and printed. 4.0 estimated print time 5.5 hours Actual print time 7.5 hours 4.1 estimated print time 6.85 ho...
