Re: keep getting asked for activation code

Support has been completely useless. First, they say they've never heard of this. Then, they say to use the new version. I said in my initial contact this happened because of installing the new version; I'm using the old one now. Then they say maybe the new version isn't compatible with my older com...

keep getting asked for activation code

I have an iMac and an old Sony Viao with Windows XP. On the latter, I keep getting asked for the activation code every time I run it. I solved this problem once before by opening the program as the Admin. Now that I tried to update the program I get asked for the code each time. I opened the program...

directly sending commands

I would like to send my own commands, like test fan 0 or 1.

I'm guessing this is the SEND line. However, I don't know what the commands are for the fan or anything else. Is there a tutorial that explains the commands?

laptop asks again for product key

My laptop suddenly asked me for my s3d product key after I shut the program down and restarted. Now, it says I have a maximum number of installations. I just have two. What do I do?

Re: making a hollow box

So the 0.25mm is the height of each layer as you said. What controls the thickness of each shell? What, for that matter, controls the resolution of the X and Y dimensions?

Re: making a hollow box

thank you. That makes sense.

The walls and floor are 1.75mm thick. Would a layer 0.25mm be appropriate? Would the quality be reasonable? Would it be better to make the layers 0.175mm and have 10 "shells" for the thickness?

making a hollow box

I want to print a project box for electronics. It is hollow in the center. The walls are about 1.5mm (I forgot the exact measurements right now). I was reading in the document that one can control how many layers are solid before the printer starts a partial-fill pattern. I see the outer perimeter s...

heating the bed

I see in the FFF script that for ABS on the makergear the first layer is 110C. If I want the first 5 layers this temp then I add setpoints 1 through 5 at 110C? What do I do if I want the hotbed to always stay at 110C for the entire print?

new here. need to rotate

I just loaded my box STL into the program. It puts the "bottom" on the top. I have used the mouse to spin the box around. How do I get the top and bottom to flip? In other words, how do I rotate the other axis?

Thanks
