Re: Coasting issue

I think it is more a firmware issue since all G-Code commands are processed sequentially. This is why I switched to Linear-Advanced, so the E-Axis is handled independ and coasting is not needed anymore.

PS: Nice Video footage

Re: S3D Development Update - Aug 2018

The general demeanor on this thread is horrid and shows what an embarrassment the 3D printing community can be at times. This one sentense sums this thread up as far as I'm concerned. Well, it just highlights the dissatisfaction of the community. S3D is still a great piece of software but since 2 y...

Re: S3D Development Update - Aug 2018

So.. seems like we don't get an update this month... It's a shame... they have given a brilliant slicer but they cannot provide a good, usable GUI for it :( I like the GUI of S3D, even it is simple.. it is structured and fast. Cura is the slowest GUI ever (even with PCIe SSD and 6 Core Xeon i...

Re: S3D Development Update - Aug 2018

Of cause no guarantee. No one should expect that after 10 Month without updates.
The Update-Frequency is slowing down every version. So I expect S3D 5.0 @ 2020 ;-)

Everyone is working hard to finish the last few remaining items for the release, and again, we are planning to have everything completed within the next month.

Woohoo, at the latest we get S3D 4.1 in just four days. Hopefully more than just more accurate build time prediction

Re: How to keep corners good when printing fast?

This looks for me more like a cooling problem. Did you turn your fan on? I mean 66mm/s isn't that fast, but since you are printing only perimeters (or Vase Mode) each layer takes not that long, and therefor the filament from the layer below isn't cooled down enough.

Sequential Prints - Skirt/Brim are not sequential

I have 3 Models and each has its own process. Each process has a skirt activated but when I do sequential printing all skirts/brims are printing at first and not when the process of the part starts. Any Idea how to get it working properly? Interestingly, when I disable the skirt of the first process...
