Re: G2/G3 Arc Paths options

I've talked to S3D support more than one year ago reporting that Marlin can easily handle arc commands and begging to add G2/G3 support into S3D and they didn't give me attention. Using G2/G3 commands results in WAY BETTER finishing for cylindrical surfaces than millions of small segments.. I don't ...

Re: Solid platforms collapse on low infill - option to outli

Sometimes I need to print with high infill just to support top layers..
A feature like these would save us a lot of material.

Cheers.

Re: Feature Request: Dynamic Extrusion Width/Gap Fill

A great feature that S3D still lacks..

Cheers.

Re: G2/G3 Arc Paths options

Even the regular boards based on AtMega are capable of performing arc movements. One just need to adjust the segment resolution. Check the videos bellow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgukgdKNQGg&list=PLuhzZFbGQkipfO_yOf_AehmgFCS7PqFu3 This CoreXY is running a Rumba Board with Marlin. I have a...

[Bug Report] Multiple Process print with Fan cooling issue

S3D Version 2.2.1

In a multi process print, set cooling fan On in just one process after some layer, like 2.

In 2.2.0, the fan is On just for that process. In 2.2.1, the fan is On for all process after that layer, which is not expected.

Re: Speed - mm/minute? Why not mm/sec?

mm/min is inherited from CNC milling machines. The gcode interpreter of our 3D Printers uses mm/min just for backward compatibility; do not forget the first 3D printer prototypes came from modified CNC milling machines. And now we have the following situation: The 3D printer firmwares cannot change ...

[ADDED] Top Solid Infill Speed Control

I'm facing some issues printing huge parts with flat surface.. I like to print infill really fast (like 120~150mm/s), but the top solid surface have more quality on slow speeds, like 60~80mm/s. Today we have no way to control that speed on Simplify3D like we have in Slic3r or Cura. It will be a real...

Re: [Feature Request] Honeycomb infill

You cannot patent something "invented" by the Mother Nature.

May be the bees or the trees should claim the ownership of the honeycomb geometry.

Cheers.

Re: [Feature request] Material cost > 99.99

I second that.
I see no purpose on limiting the cost to 2 digits; I guess the S3D is not only meant to US market.
