Thanks for the reply. I was just surprised that even without supports it wouldn't try to print from the inside out. I don't believe there is an option for that anyway (still learning )
I am having trouble slicing a part with a groove in it. On the layer that begins the overhang, he tool path wants to print the perimeters out in space which naturally won't work. Has anyone experienced this before who might know a solution? I was hoping S3D would detect this and start printing from ...
did you measure your filament? in your settings its set to 1.75 which may be correct im just checking. that has to be right on or you can under or over extrude. if its set to 1.75 but the actual dia of the filament is 1.74 or 1.73, etc you will not be putting out enough plastic. everything else sor...

Like everyone else I was trying to figure this out too. I don't have that field in the screenshot you uploaded. I noticed you are using the mac version. I am using the windows version so perhaps this was missed for us in this release.
