Re: 2.2 Release Discussion Thread!

Bug report submitted regarding a hangup when using the new dense support feature. The model slices fine w/o support or with Dense Support Layers set to 0. Setting that up to 5 layers (using 20%/75% density) caused a hang at "looking for overhangs" or "calculating infill." The mo...

Re: 2.2 Release Discussion Thread!

Good idea to try a reset all. Have to make a note of the current settings and I'll give it a whirl.

Re: Question about auto mode nozzle width

That's a good question. IIRC there are some open source slicers out there and there's a long weekend coming up so maybe I'll do some code digging and edjumacate myself on this. I'd assume that the slicer takes the extrusion width into account along with the layer height in determining how much plast...

Re: Continuing a stopped print?

Possibly. Look in the tutorial section for the topic "Different Settings for Different Regions of a Model" for more discussion but essentially you would edit the process settings in the Advanced tab to "start printing at height," where the height matches where your print left off...

Re: Flashforge Creator Pro bed not heating

Works fine on my FFCX. I think that selecting "heated build platform" in the Temperature tab overrides the T[0:3] combo box selection. It "knows" that there's only one heated build platform [*]. Have you tried deleting the default layer/temperature setpoint and then adding in a n...

Re: Question about auto mode nozzle width

I'm sure there is a real term for this in the materials processing world but I'm a software guy so I'll just call it "nozzle gain." (And, I am mostly a software guy so this could be totally wrong, too! Real materials guys are welcome.) But, when extruding an elastic material under fairly h...

M0/M1 pause option?

The M0/M1 option to pause is mentioned in the change log but it's not obvious to me where or how it is implemented. Any hints? I've been keying off of the cooling fan turning off on the first layer of a series of processes, and then hitting a P-Stop button. That works fine as long as I'm only a coup...
