Re: Ironing

you can already do this with s3d, I did it few times, create another process on top of the final layer that's 0.1 or 0.05mm off the top, set for that process 0.1 or 0.05mm layer and reduce extrusion multiplier a lot (you can even increase the temp) and that's it .. that process will do the ironing ...

Re: Firmware Macros reseting themselves?

Sorry, I don't seem to be getting email notifications anymore with the new forum. Anyway, yes, I have 'update firmware settings' unchecked - that was the first thing I tried. Still happens, seemingly randomly after printing, reslicing, or just reopening the machine control panel sometimes. (i'm not ...

Re: Dual extruder Simplify3D

Yeah I was hoping I'd be able to just turn on dual extrusion myself. I have a ... highly customized TAZ4 - auto bed leveling, custom dual extruder using a single stepper motor, all sorts of stuff. But no dual extrusion wizard. :C

Firmware Macros reseting themselves?

Has anyone else noticed this? I'm thinking MAYBE it has something to do with the 'update firmware configuration' checkbox in a printing profile, but my Custom Commands Macros keep (seemingly randomly) unwriting themselves. It's very frustrating!

Re: By golly, they listened! Honeycomb and full grid infill.

They haven't even announced this version, or updated the website to highlight it. They could still make some announcements in the forum. Oh, I bet they will when they officially announce it. I just mean, it's been what, 8 months since 2.2.2? With basically no word from the devs as to whether anythi...

Re: By golly, they listened! Honeycomb and full grid infill.

Place Surface on Bed! Feels like they just went through and did everything in the feature request subforum. That's nice. I like this. Edit - just because I feel I must. Would've been even nicer if S3D staff had popped into all the feature request threads that they addressed and just said 'We're work...

Re: By golly, they listened! Honeycomb and full grid infill.

Got my account stuff sorted, playing with settings now. Other new HUGE things I noticed: • Inflation distance on bridging! No longer will the ends of my bridges fall off because S3D only put a .1mm overlap for the bridge layer. • honeycomb honeycomb honeycomb • "Perform retraction during wipe m...

I did the account upgrade thing on that cloud page, but never got the setup email. Tried a username recovery and it's just blank - doesn't give me a username (which means I can't recover my probably auto-generated password). I WANT TO PLAY WITH V3!

Auto-variable Layer Height

So, I've had this idea floating around in my head for a while, and I think it finally solidified to the point that I can get it across to other people. Basically, let's say I have a model with multiple top surface areas - one of them is at Z=1mm, one at Z=1.25mm, one at Z=1.7mm, and one at Z=2.5mm. ...
