Recreate S3D "Resume" in Macro

Does anyone know what gcode commands are used in S3D that enable the "Pause/Resume" functionality? My printer does not have an LCD so I print using a direct USB connection to my PC. My machine runs on Marlin 1.0.0. I would like to build a Macro in the S3D Firmware Configuration that primes...

Re: Saving processes?

I absolutely hate the way print settings are saved and how they are controlled. The processes should be saved specifically with the factory file only and be part of that save file (not a secret hidden place somewhere in the registry). If you choose to, you could save the process on it's own for you...

Do your Factory files pull in saved Profiles?

I am having a problem with saved "Profiles" being pulled into different "Factory" files. If I save a Factory file that has a Process that uses specific Profile, then I modify that profile and save it, when I open another Factory file that uses the same Profile the saved changes a...

Smart Infill for Small Spaces

There are some geometries that can't infill with the same settings. For example, if you have a part that has a geometry that mostly likes single extrusion infill, but one area that would do better with gap fill, you are out of luck. This occurs when you have a corner that has a sharp outer perimeter...

Re: Tapered Coasting

Unfortunately, I have an older Type A Machines Series 1 printer. They bit the dust a while ago. So there is no support or updated firmware. I love the printer and it makes great prints. I tweaked the firmware myself a while back to reduce the acceleration and jerk and it improved the print quality. ...

Random Start Points on Face

Right now you can pick a point nearest a location, random, or optimized for speed to locate your start/stop points. It would be great to be able to select a face and have the start/stop points be randomized on the entire face, but only on that face. For example, if you had a part where there was a b...

Tapered Coasting

The printer head doesn't move at full speed everywhere. Printers have "acceleration" and "jerk" specified in the firmware to control the head as it approaches a direction change or stop point. If you were to plot the speed of the head as it approaches a stop point, it would appea...

Re: Support Extrusion Width

Question for anyone that knows: Why do you need all the other lines in there? Isn't that redundant? I tried running a test print with just the following in the Terminal Commands box: "{REPLACE "; feature support\n" "M221 D0 S80\n; feature support\n"}" It seemed to run j...

Re: Extra Outline Overlap & Extrusion Multiplier For Above Raft Layer

I have found a bit of a workaround for my own inquiry. You can use the "Variable Settings Wizard" to use three different processes on the same part. I have been playing with it and have greatly improved the first layer above the raft. I am still working on perfecting it, but here is what I...
