Troubleshooting CR-10 S4 with Direct Drive - gaps in perimeter at end of layer

I need some help troubleshooting! I have had recurring issues with the extruder on my CR-10 S4 jamming, and I honestly don't like the bowden setup much anyway, so I went ahead and got a Microswiss Direct Drive for my machine. http://i.imgur.com/FoK91b2h.jpg I recalibrated the machine's e-steps after...

Aye aye!

The only thin wall settings I see on the 'advance' tab seem not to actually affect this.

What settings bring my lines closer together?

I'm noticing some gaps in the top layers of my models, but I don't think it's necessarily a printing failure - I think Simplify3d is slicing the models that way. http://i.imgur.com/FD66w18h.png This seems borne out by the fact that on multiple prints, the pattern on the top layer is basically the sa...

Re: Aberrant slicing behavior

Apparently turning the model 45 degrees on the bed makes the surfaces all slice properly. What on earth?

Aberrant slicing behavior

I have the following model that I'm trying to slice: http://www.fusedcreations.com/adam/badge_fix.STL Renders fine, I've run it through Netfabb and it doesn't catch any problems, everything seems welded and fine. When I tell Simplify3d to slice the model, I end up with weird missing planes: http://i...

Random gaps and missing layers in supports

http://i.imgur.com/5sce88Cl.jpg There is a universal gap at certain heights where support structures just aren't there. Sometimes these gaps are here, sometimes they aren't - sometimes they're at different heights than what's pictured. I don't change anything, I just hit 'exit preview' and hit gene...

Hole in object slicing as solid?

I have an object with two holes through the parts that were created the same way in 3d Studio Max. I'm amateurish at best with modelling, so I'm sure this is my fault, but I don't know how to fix it or to get Simplify3d to cooperate. This is the part's .stl: http://www.fusedcreations.com/adam/barrel...
