Re: Ooze shield and prime pillar

Are you using a brim or skirt option? I've noticed that the ooze and pillar order can be affected when these options are applied.

S3D eventually does get the order correct... prime pillar then ooze shield then the actual object.

Re: Sketchup file - solid inspector 2 - Simplify3d - Repetie

OP - can you post a SKP? I've rarely had manifold issues after using Solid Inspector 2... I also like FredoTools "AutoReverseFaces" and CleanUp3.

Regarding tool setup, in the STL export tool: "Export Geometry Only" selected, Millimeters and ASCII

Re: Printing Speed Options

Isn't this just some simple math? 100*[(Required Speed) / (Default Speed)] = % to be entered in each speed setting @ zemlin - If you haven't figured a workaround, try the "Coast" parameter under the extruder? It specifies a distance to stop extruding before the end of the loop. I use .2 fo...

Re: Advanced FFF Profile Editing - Nozzle Sizes

I didn't load your FFF (it wouldn't work for my machine's firmware anyway), but looked at it through an editor. You've nested your "autoconfigureQuality" sub-profiles under the "autoconfigureMaterial" sub-profile... whicn may not work properly. If you look at the original FFF for...

Re: Advanced FFF Profile Editing - Nozzle Sizes

Its been a while since I worked with FFFs, but Dorsai3D is right on. If you define a parameter, it needs to be defined in all your custom Material or Quality profiles. If that parameter isn't defined, it will inherit the setting from the previous profile. At least, that's what I recall... The other ...

Re: Support layers lifting

210C sounds a little low for ABS... wait, I see you increased to 220C, which still seems a little low. Check the temp range from the filament manufacturer. If you're using fan, try turning it off for the first few millimeters of the print. And keep it minimal further up in the print. Too much coolin...

Re: ABS Cooling Causing Prints to Detach(?)

Can you describe the print bed? Glass, tape, ABS juice... ABS typically does not like cooling. Start with the fan off. Many people leave the fan off, but a little cooling (60% max) 3-5mm into the print will help... it's really dependent on your extrusion temp. A slightly higher temp will help layer ...

Re: How to make printer extrude a little after print is done

Add "G1 E##" where ## is the millimeters you want to extrude to the beginning of your end script. Probably after the first line so the extrusion happens at the right hotend temp.

Re: No FFF profile settings list

Could also export the FFF from one machine and import into the second... that's if you still have the original FFFs.

Re: Dissolvable interface between the print and supports

Informative thread... I like the idea of using PETG/PLA. Not dissolvable, but good to know they don't bond to each other well. On that thought for the soluble material. Maybe a work around is to use a dense 100% layer for interface support layers, and a really sparse 10-20% for the rest of the suppo...
