Re: Version 3 Extruder and Head Bed Temps.

This is still an issue in v3.02

Re: Print time estimates way off.

So why is Slic3r way more accurate with it's settings? S3D has the retraction speed and distance settings so it should account for that, plus travel speed and all other layer speeds. If jerk and other firmware settings affect the estimate why can't a form be provided in S3D to enter these values so ...

Re: Bug with retraction distance

I'm experiencing extra long retractions and found this bug, which explains it. The default 'tool change extraction distance' is 12mm, I've changed it to the same value I have for 'Retraction Distance' for future prints. I'm using a single extruder. Thanks Frguy. Please fix. And yes, v3 is a big step...

Re: Version 3 Extruder and Head Bed Temps.

I don't use S3D to control my printer as I run it unteathered, I only use it to slice and save to SD card. Given various filament colours have temperature differences I don't like to have an extruder temp set in the gcode. Pre S3D 3.0 I could delete all temperature profiles and it would save to, and...

Fixed speed settings instead of percentage

It would be beneficial to allow speed settings (outline, infill, support, bridging, cooling speed reduction, etc) to be specified at a fixed speed instead of a percentage. This would allow the speeds you want to keep constant, regardless of adjustments to the default print speed, to be set. This cou...

Re: Feature proposal: Adaptive infill

1) I believe Slic3r calls this "Only infill where needed". This could be calculated by an angle option similar to that used for generating support. 2) Being able to generate infill with a dynamic percentage based on an angle option and a max/min setting would also be cool as it could still...

Re: Better top surface stitching & bosses on top layers

+1 I've had the same issue before. Perimeters should always connect to solid top layers, as in if you have 4 perimeters all 4 perimeters should sit on top of solid infill (for the number of desired top layers), not just the outermost perimeter.

Re: More options for stronger infill.

+1 Million for honeycomb infill. It provides superior strength to rectilinear infill and also looks good when using transparent filaments. More infill pattern options please.

Re: Sequential printing within a process

1) +1 for single process sequential printing. 2) When adding a new process it doesn't copy the temperature profile from the source process. I don't use a temperature profile at all so when the process is copied it adds a default one in, which I don't want. 3) When adding a new process it should opti...

[ADDED] Top layer speed

Considering the top layer/infill is technically an outer perimeter it should be linked to the "Outline Underspeed" setting. Or, make top layer speed separately configurable. Slic3r has a number of configurable speed settings perimeters, infill, etc which allow for fine configuring to get t...
