Machine Control Window features

I am using v5 and using the built in machine controller. When trying to access the firmware, there used to be a check box to able to stop the screen from streaming the code. This seems to be gone, so makes it impossible to get info from things like doing a Auto PID tune. Also the on the fly controls...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

My understanding also was when I bought the software, that it was free lifetime updates. There are some companies that call updates anything from major revision to major revision....like from1.0 -1.9xx would be free, but going to 2.xx would be an upgrade...not an update. At the time...it was sold as...

Re: Great quality but getting delamination

Temps and layer height might be too high. Try dropping layer height and see what happens first.

Re: Problem printing fine features

Raise your layer height to 0.25mm. Turn your temps down to 197 for PLA and turn cooling fans on to 75%. If you don't have digital calipers buy some cheap ones at harbor freight for around $20. Measure your filament in several places and use an average and put that number in your filament diameter. I...

Re: Skip some little parts of the model

Why not just get a smaller nozzle for your hot end...or tell s3d you are using a smaller nozzle and then scale up your extrusion multi to get your prints to come out properly?

Re: Skip some little parts of the model

Inexperienced users of CAD/CAM will expect the software to be automatic without any hands on tweaking, but in reality you want the software to check your work for you. If it's not going to be accurate why not just carve it by hand? The preview is so you can check before printing. Update your hardwar...

Re: Overhangs not being supported

Take a look at the factory file I posted. I believe at a 45 degree threshold only the flat bottom suspended cube gets support but only under the flat area. It's not until you change the threshold to 38 degrees that everything gets support.

Re: Skip some little parts of the model

After using a cnc mill long enough I started to design my parts with machining them in mind. I automatically started doing this when 3d printing . I look at it the same as having to grind down a wrench to get it to work for a specific project. It's a tool and there are times when I have to do someth...
