Standby Temp setting.

I have noticed that if i have use the setting to change the extruder Temp at a specific layer, that S3D inputs an M104 command to change the extruder temp. The problem is that this also changes the standby temp (which is set in the starting script using G10 commands) to match the active temp. This i...

Re: Random solid Bridge layers in infill

Hello, I know the problem, I have experienced the errors in geometry myself. If you set the setting in "Advanced" "Slicing Region Repair Mode" on "Merge All Boundaries", you no longer have any interruption of the layers. :D That does work, but it doesn't explain why it...

Re: Random solid Bridge layers in infill

Your factory file doesn't have any models in it. That's usually the most important part for understand why you're seeing incorrect slicing. Setup the print just like you did last time with models, processes, etc, then click File > Save Factory File As. lol.. that would be helpful wouldn't it.. Atta...

Re: Random solid Bridge layers in infill

Can you attach the factory file for the print? Have you already used the S3D repair checks to look for non-manifold or self-intersecting surfaces? The Factory file is attached. I have used the repair checks and everything checks out fine (no errors). This issue is actually consistent across 3 diffe...

Random solid Bridge layers in infill

So i have noticed with v5.1.2 that i get these random Bridge layers in between layers of infill. Solid diaphragms are turned OFF. Typically rotating the model a few degrees or even repositioning the model on the build plate will either eliminate the random solid bridge layer, increase the quantity o...

Re: failed to create structure for project file: savedstate.factory

Another idea might be to look for any Simplify3D files in this directory: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Temp Usually those are deleted by Windows automatically, but maybe they aren't on your system for some reason. In particular, look for a savedState.factory file or maybe a savedState folder t...

Re: failed to create structure for project file: savedstate.factory

Perhaps it's a permissions issue where the software isn't being allowed to save or open that file. If you right-click and choose run as administrator, does the behavior change? Considering we don't have other customers reporting this problem, it definitely seems like it must be something specific t...

Re: failed to create structure for project file: savedstate.factory

Ok, so you're saying that after following the instructions I posted, you DO see a change in the behavior of the software and it opens successfully? After you enter your login information are you able to use the software as normal? When do you see the error message in the future? Does it require you...

Re: failed to create structure for project file: savedstate.factory

When you follow the steps above, do you find a savedState.factory file in the folder mentioned in that link for you to delete? If not, it's possible you're not deleting the correct folder (perhaps there are multiple user accounts on this computer?) After you follow the settings in the link above, d...
