I've already asked for such a feature some years ago. Sometimes I'm wondering why I'm paying for that software...
When 99.99% of the rest of the world doesn't need it.... Even high end 3d Printers use STL/3MF files as inputs.
Hi Simplify 3D. Would it be possible to import a .stp, .STEP file directly into the slicer and process that instead of a .stl as a .stp will give a much better result and better accuracy. Define "Much better result".... In what way? I get near injection molded results with a medium res STL.
Post a factory file, you got something way out of whack. I usually run infill to perimeter overlap at 30%. But that doesn't have anything to do with your 4 walls not being solid together.
What I'd like to see, maybe add it to a feature request. I would like to be able to relink to a new model by right clicking a model in the list. Call it Relink Model, so if a model name changes, and it often does because of versioning, it can easily be relinked. We haven't had any other reports that...
Didn't see you had combined set to 7 which isn't really feasible. No more than 2 combined usually. A small area doesn't have to have bridging. That preview looks correct. Looks like that bridging area you are referring to is mostly outlines, there is a setting to bridge outlines also.
Maybe change your minimum bridge area. Those spots are pretty small so it probably isn't applying bridge settings with the default value. It is under Other tab, Unsupported Area Threshold. Change it to like 10, or less.

This is guarenteed to fail. it can't work. any idea why its doing this? why its "splitting" the layer into segments for some reason?

Your settings are guaranteed to fail without infill up to that point. That little top infill issue is the least of your problems.
That's not very professional.... I see nothing wrong with the delivery method, it's been like that for decades. Not all software needs to be on a "store" which is a relatively new concept. I'm sure there are some licensing challenges being on a store, there are fees, and can be major delay...
