Re: (re)activation required

I had the same issue. I sent an email to support@simplify3d.com and they reset everything.

Re: adding a retraction at starting G-code

Actually, when you take the gcode done at the end of the job: G92 E20 ; set filament length for retraction G1 E0 F10200 ; retract filament for easy removal it isn't really that much (effectively 10 mm of priming - since the prime does 30mm of advancement and the end of the job does 20mm of retraction)

Re: Gcode problem..please help

If you're losing steps, then your firmware may be trying to accelerate too quickly, or it may simply be trying to move faster than your mechanicals can move.
You could try lowering the feed rate (the F4800) 4800 mm/min corresponds to 80 mm/sec

Re: More options for stronger infill.

As you said s3d doesnt print infill every layer but looking at your print, you have something else going on there where it looks like your stringing between. My infill looks nothing like that. I have solid extrusions for each line and looks more like the cura print. Maybe your temps are a little hi...

Re: More options for stronger infill.

Even with random starts turned off, the infill isn't as strong as say the infill done by Cura.

In Cura, it prints both angles on every layer.

Here's a photo which shows the difference. On the left, Cura with 20% infill, on the right Simplify3D with 20% infill.

Re: adding a retraction at starting G-code

In my setup, after the extruders have heated up, I have this:

Code: Select all

G92 E-30 ;reset filament position for priming
G1 F200 E0 ;prime extruder
(for my Bukito)

Re: Always getting offsets in me Leapfrog Creatr Prints

I don't have a Creatr, so I'm not sure what the most common causes for this might be. So what I'm going to say is generic advice, and applies pretty much to all types of CNC style machines. If it shifts and stays shifted, then I'd guess that you're missing steps. Which could be caused by binding som...

See this thread over here: http://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.p ... 1544#p5852 to see if that helps.

Re: How do i speed up the blue areas - see pic :-)

This part is designed to be laid down, so that the top of the cross box goes against the table. Then you'll find it prints alot faster. So the pitol grip part will stick up in the air.
