Re: "Erode First Layer" Feature Request

I always design my parts with a .5 chamfer on the bottom to help with this. I wish more designs on Thingiverse would do the same. There are some nice designs and this would help with the post processing/cleanup. If anything it makes the parts look nicer.

Machine Control Improvements

Please improve the machine controls and implement features like Repetier Host. I like the fact in Repetier Host the fan can be controlled by a percentage. A button turns the fan on and off instead of a slider which give no indication what speed it is at. The temperature graphs are also lacking in Si...

Re: Improvement to the Machine Control Panel

Thanks buddy, that fixed my macro issue. I didn't know it was case sensitive in Simplify3d.

Improvement to the Machine Control Panel

Simplify 3D is printing well for me after the last update (thanks for that) but was wanting some future features in the Machine Control Panel. I would like to request a better layout for all the controls similar to the way Repetier Host does it. Can all the different tabs be incorporated onto one pa...

Re: .4mm thin wall cube

I wonder how Kisslicer is able to slice the .4mm and actually print .4mm walls. Does is decrease the flow to thin out the extrusion width? I was hoping the software would be able to interrupt these things automatically without manipulating extrusion widths and other settings.

Re: .4mm thin wall cube

The .8 thin wall model I attached was slicing weird also. The slicing wouldn't show anything until the top of the model. I didn't try to print due to this.

Re: .4mm thin wall cube

Thanks for looking into it. Hopefully the developers are reading these forums and working on future improvements.

Re: .4mm thin wall cube

The .4 stl was from Thingiverse and will slice fine with Kisslicer. I did create my own thin walled cube using Solidworks but it is doing other weird stuff slicing. I created two files, one is .4mm thick and the other is .8mm thick. I did what dennisjm suggested and was able to take a solid 20x20 cu...

Re: .4mm thin wall cube

I have a .4 nozzle and tried setting to .35 and setting to extrusion width to auto after the others failed to slice properly but it failed too.
