Re: Break in Slice lines

Thanks dkightley. That is what it was. I noticed that the coast feature is not on as a default in Makerbot profile but it is in Ultimaker. Looking at the actual print shows me I still have tuning to do. It is set at 1mm as a default. I'm still learning all the choices of the settings with S3D. Like ...

Re: Break in Slice lines

Thanks for the response. I will check this out tonight , but I did print this as well as others and I thought I saw these anomalies in the print. I will take a closer look and see if they match the slice.

Re: Understanding the speed algorithms in models

I knew about the hoovering comment but as a mechanical engineer, an example of what happens when the number goes higher or lower would help me more.
As for the links they are very helpful thanks.

Hi, I am using a Makerbot Dual, I have a simple l right angle bracket about 1/2" wide and extending about 1/4" x 1/8" thick on each side. It slices fine but I notice in the preview that the surface on the base plate runs around 1700 mm/min and then when it goes to do the vertical leg ...

Re: MakerBot Replicator Dual and a Delta with Simplify3D

Sorry I'm confused. the Rep 2 is not the Rep Dual. The Rep Dual is the wood construction with two heads. First was the Replicator then the Dual then the Rep 2, then the Rep 2x, and now the 5th generation. The supported printers states Rep 1, Rep 2 and Rep 2x.
