I agree. This would be great for quick changes. Now you have to edit each process or start over by deleting them.

Why not create a new process, 2 layers before the platform and increase the infill for that process? See attached image. The stl looks like a non-solid surface. What you need to do is open the file in a mesh editing program and select the border edge (the perimeter) and extrude this down to make some thickness. Simplify3D is like a holy grail after struggling to properly calibrate the finer points of my Lulzbot Taz 4 with other slicers.
