Re: Weird alternate slicing on the same part when duplicated

I think I see what you're getting at but I believe it's a little more subtle than that. I think it's more like there's just one record player and one record... and you can only play the record once. If you play it a second time, then the player skips and jumps and makes a mess of it. Perhaps you may...

Re: Weird alternate slicing on the same part when duplicated

In reply to wirlybird... minute adjustments to layer height have no effect... and yes, the first layer height looks fine. To dkightley... thanks for the repaired shape file... what did you do to repair it? I did a bit more looking around and see that at least historically S3D has had problems with u...

Weird alternate slicing on the same part when duplicated

Here's what I get when I slice a single copy of the part. singlePart.png Here's what I get when I drop a 2nd part onto the build plate OR do a copy and paste of the part and do a centre and arrange doublePartFail.png Here's the only thing that works... copying the part and pasting it while in simpli...

Specify Process start/stop by layer number

It would be nice to have the option of specifying change in processes by layer number. I mostly use start/stop for changing fill specifications... specifically concentric on the first layer only and then reverting to rectilinear for the balance. As it stands, I need to specify the start/stop in mm, ...

S3d filling in voids I don't want filled in

I don't know if this is a bug or a feature :) but if I put a void in the middle of an object, then S3D slicer fills it in. I've been trying to make a rattle which while printing I can drop in some rice or some other objects and then when printing is finished the rice is completely enclosed in the ob...

Re: only perimeters possible?

lensSimulator.png I've attached the stl file for the part I'm trying to print, as well as a screen capture of the point in the process that illustrates the problem. As you can see, the slicer is laying down an infill in between the inner and outer walls of the cylinder at this part in the gcode, ev...

Re: only perimeters possible?

Alas, no joy. Set top layers, bottom layers and infill to 0 as you suggested. Set perimeters all the way up to 150. Still insists on putting infill between the inner and outer walls of the cylinder.
