Re: Flashforge Dreamer Firmware 2.4 Problems

I just downgraded to firmware V2.3 20150615 / FlashPrint V3.4.2 and it connected to S3D via USB.

V3.0.2 Dreamer USB connect problems

Has anyone, more specifically those with Dreamers, had any difficulty connecting via USB? I didn't have any problems till this update, now I just get a "error connecting to machine" message. Its a little frustrating having to go back to the SD card method.

Re: need help with supports

First of all, I would go to help --> reset all settings to get back to the original settings for support material. You will need to restart the software after doing this. Then when you reopen it, just increase the number of dense support layers to something like 5-10. That will create denser layers...

need help with supports

Something changed with my supports when I print, because now they print like a mess. The best way to describe it, is the plastic wirey side of velcro. From the pic, you can see all the space that prints on the outside of the support. I'm not confusing this with infill. I think what I was trying to a...

Best orientation

I've seen other software automatically bring the model in a put it in the best printing orientation possible. I'm still a somewhat novice at this, and don't always see the best way to orient something.

Gcode to auto shutdown printer

I've looked around, but I'm coming up empty. Is there a way to shut down my Dreamer by Gcode, when the print is done? The less I leave this thing running during the night, the better. I did find a code modifier of M81? But I think there's more to it than just a code...any thoughts?

Re: Feature Request: Split large models into smaller pieces

Do you mean to just slice it along the X, Y, or Z axis like NetFabb Basic can do? I'd like to see an option to separate out multiple part stl files into component pieces. For example, the plate file for this thing: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:27233/#files (although in that case the individual ...

Feature Request: Split large models into smaller pieces

I would love to pay another huge chunk of money for netfab, but I'd rather see S3D implement a feature that splits a model that's too big for a HBP, into smaller / more manageable pieces. There are many models on Thingiverse and other sites, that have models that people just scan in, and are too lar...

FF Dreamer USB update - Not working :(

I just updated to 2.2.1, with great hopes that S3D finally worked over USB with my Dreamer...no go. It says "connected" in green, but nothing responds. Is there something I'm missing?
