Re: Slicing for "Blackbelt 3d" like printer

I think you should get a refund. I've abandoned Simplify3d - they just move too slow for me.

Re: CR-30 Support

I've moved on from Simplify3D. After years of using it (and paying for updates) I've reached the point where they just move too slow for me. Much as I like the interface (I still think it's the best slicer UI available on Mac), just can't justify continuing with them when they don't support several ...

Re: Is the License Server Down?

Weirdly, I'm seeing the same thing on *one* of my two machines at home running this. Makes little sense to me.

Re: Support Structures Similar To Meshmixer

I wholeheartedly endorse adding support options to S3D. Supports are an incredibly important part of 3d printing, and unlike a previous poster, I don't believe copying a good idea is bad.

Re: Simplify3D Mac as a print Server?

One caveat for Octoprint - when it works, it's amazing and incredibly convenient. However, newer versions have become more and more feature-heavy, and as such are becoming more unstable and limited in applicability - the number of printers that don't work or kinda work is increasing. I used it for 3...

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] Ability to Interact with Print Server

+1 on this. It would be amazing to have this functionality, even as an addon/plugin at additional cost

Re: More efficient supports

For me, the cost isn't a huge issue. Waste is: it's bad enough we're printing with plastic (at least with ABS), but wasting a bunch of that plastic kinda bugs me. More important is the time: on some prints the support drastically increases the print time. Seems a more efficient way of creating suppo...

Re: Tip of the Day 7- Infill tab, a technical analysis

Thanks for these, again, hugely useful. One question about the "Print Sparse Infill...": I assume using this to skip layers *must* be used in conjunction with increasing the "Infill Fill Percentage" to ensure the proper height of fill is being used, correct? I changed the number ...

Re: Feature Request - Output to other destinations

+1 for option to integrate with Octoprint. Even more awesome to add printer control via Octoprint. Awesomest would be full integration including preview, where Octoprint becomes just another printer.
