Re: Stratification

Have you tried the same part with different layer heights? Could be a rounding error where your microsteps don't match the desired Z-height, so every X layers will be lower than the others with the same material extruded.

Re: Water Soluble Support

Just want to bump this up.

KISSlicer can and has been able to do this for a long time now.

Re: Share setting between computers?

So not as easy as my KISSlicer setup, but I started saving my FFF profiles to my dropbox folder on each machine each time I close the program and reopen it each time I open it. This is a bit of work, but at least I can keep my configuration consistent between machines.

Cloud Profile Sync

I currently run Simplify3D on two computers and would like to share settings between the two without having to export/import each time I switch machines. This is easy with KISSlicer since it saves the settings files to the same directory as the .exe which I have placed in my local Dropbox folder on ...

Re: Rafts in V2.2.1

There are definitely good uses for a raft (better first layer support adhesion for support material that lies outside the perimeter of the part is when I use rafts most), but that doesn't answer the question at hand. I never used rafts in V2.2.0 since I got it just before V2.2.1 came out so I can't ...

Re: Tip of the Day 4- Layer tab, a technical analysis

First Layer Height: This % will take a % of your Primary Layer Height. If you are printing with a small Primary Layer Height like .1 mm I would recommend a First Layer Height of 250%, to get about a resulting .25 mm first layer height If your First Layer Height is below 100%, the extrusion amount w...

Re: More options for stronger infill.

I still think increasing extrusion width for infill to make stronger parts is a crutch and that better infill patterns is an absolute must for the long term. My absolute favorite is Kisslicer's rounded infill...it's not quite as strong as true hex, but close and WAY faster to print. I haven't been b...
