Re: Creating Preset for Rapide 200XL - How Difficult?

I forgot that the 200XL has a completely new controller board (32 bit ARM), so these setting might be different.

When I get mine and test the firmware profile I will update this post.

Re: Creating Preset for Rapide 200XL - How Difficult?

I have been using S3D with my Rapide 200 for months and it works perfectly fine. I only setup initially the following: 1- Preferences / Machine You will need to change the Z-Axis to the maximum distance you can make it go, might be around 390mm? The new versions of the head are a bit more optimised ...

Re: LFS Elephant - help slicing - vertical spacing?

I was trying to use google drive or dropbox to share the images, it was a bad idea, sorry. I have found the problem. There is one setting in the Advanced tab that makes all faces merged together, and I had it checked. Screen Shot 2015-03-28 at 18.40.43.png Now the sliced object is perfect. Screen Sh...

Re: LFS Elephant - help slicing - vertical spacing?

Sorry about the images. This forum template makes it hard to share images, I used google drive to host them but then only people with a google account logged in could see them. Let me know if they work now. Can someone please share the profile settings used with S3D for this object? I don't think th...

LFS Elephant - help slicing - vertical spacing?

Hello, I am having some difficulties slicing correctly the LFS_Elephant http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:257911 My problem are the top of the legs. I don't know how to make S3D to give same vertical space between the top leg part and the body. Everything I tried does not seem to make any difference ...

Re: Best FFF Under $2500?

Rapide3D was already selling other 3D printer models before they came up with this very sturdy aluminium based one that was launched at Indiegogo early 2014, to be delivered during christmas time. And it did. I got the printer on the 22nd Dec 2014 like they promised. That first version of the Rapide...

Re: direct down load

And a crowd sourced quality control of the models would also be nice.
Many Thingiverse .stl objects are not well designed and need repair, or can't be repaired at all.

Having other S3D users to star the objects that are 'good' would be great.

Re: Best FFF Under $2500?

I own one of these 'Rapide Lite 200' and I am very happy with it (the smaller version, with 'only' 200mm build height, everything else is the same). http://i-rapide-3d.com/rapide-lite-Indiegogo/images/comparison_chart.jpg To get more info: http://igg.me/at/rapide-lite-200XL/x/9111896 They have avail...

Re: Painters tape peeling off bed during print

I use a very sharp and strong knife removing the parts from BuildTak, scratching a lot its surface, and it is really strong! I was expecting it to last a few tens of prints with this uncareless but necessary handling, and it holds pretty well. It will last much longer than i imagined. Prints still a...
