Re: What happened to randomizing infill in 3.0?

I think it wasn't widely used, so it got removed from the software.

Re: Heated bed not heating

You should look at the starting gcode. If there isn't a command there to heat the build plate, then it won't heat up. It should say something like M190 S[bed0_temperature]

Re: Only 1 place to identify filament diameter for dual head

Pretty sure you're right. I don't think that Simplify takes into account the filament diameter for anything to do with printing, probably just calculating the length of filament used compared to the weight. EDIT: For more details see the posts on this thread http://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php...

Re: Printing with 2 Skirts

Ok, Now that I've actually tried it I ran into a few problems. The first is that the first tool always has trouble laying down it's first purge because it doesn't adhere well. I could always slow it down, but that would slow down all of the purges in the print, which is less than ideal. Is there any...

Re: Wrong X/Y printed size on FlashForge Creator Pro

Try going to Tools -> Firmware Configuration -> Select the Makerbot/Sailfish Fimrware profile -> X3G tab. Then select the Replicator 1-dual extruder machine profile. If you select the wrong one, it may mess up your scale.

Re: General support material

Faces of objects (at least in Sketchup) have a have a property that defines one side of the face to be exterior (white) and one side to be interior (blueish/greyish). If you have a face backwards, with the interior facing out, the slicing program will be confused. This is easily fixable in Simplify ...

Re: Leapfrog PLA on a Flash Forge creator Dual

Ah, ok. If I'm not mistaken, the FlashForge is designed as a clone as the Replicator 2X, which is intended to print in abs, and has much more trouble with PLA. I assume that the drive gear isn't skipping at all during the layers that are printing properly? If so, you might need to print a filament f...

Re: Leapfrog PLA on a Flash Forge creator Dual

I've seen this problem before and it's usually because the fans blowing on the drive gear (the motor) have gotten turned off somehow. When that happens, the filament in the drive gear heats up and softens, which leads to it bending around the drive block (the wheel). Check to see if your fans are on...

Re: General support material

When exporting a file from Sketchup, it's important to make sure it's manifold (i.e. it's a solid). I typically use the Solid Inspector extension to make sure that there are no extra lines, holes or interior faces, which can confuse slicers. This is also helpful for using the solid tools in the pro ...
