Re: Concentric infill pattern

I've used concentric infil and it does go round and round if the object is round. The extruder follows the outline of the object.
I set the infill to 100 % though. It doesn't just do the top layers, it does every layer if the infill is set to 100%.

Re: Seeking advice on holes in top of print

I've had success by increasing the number of infill angles. Instead of just -45 and +45 degrees I use a bunch of them, like 4 or more, 0, 45,-45,90. This will produce a smaller empty space between infill.

Hope this helps.

Re: Bed Leveling Wizard Question.

I tried the wizard and it seemed to get rid of the Z offset I had to set in Simplify3D. Does it store a value somewhere? I only had to do minor adjustments to the bed but the 2.98mm offset had to to be reduced to zero. I like it but I don't understand what happened. Like I said, I only made minor ch...

Re: Pause at z pos

OK I just looked at that again. You are right, if some one were to put that gcode at a layer larger than 5mm, the bed would be moved back to 5mm and then disaster! Good catch. You should just leave out the Z5 part of the code, that way it can't bump into part of the print, unless part of the print i...

Re: Pause at z pos

No worries about that since it is pausing the print before the tall part of the print has been printed. Also, the bed moves down 5 mm while moving the head back and forth. There is no chance of hitting any part of the print since nothing higher than the layer being paused at has been printed at the ...

Re: Pause at z pos

No, the M226 code doesn't work on the DaVinci 1.0. Here's a few lines of gcode I used to pause the printer at a desired layer and then move the extruder out of the way. It stays out of the way for about 50 seconds. If you need more time you can play around with the F value. (Feedrate) Place this at ...

Re: Pause at z pos

... I'll try M226 next, Gcode initiated pause. If I knew about this one I would've tried it first.

Re: Pause at z pos

Using simplify3d and all the GCodes I could think of, it seems that the DaVinci printer ignores any code related to pause.

G4; M0; M25 none of these seem to do anything with the XYZPrinting DaVinci printer.

Re: Pause at z pos

I'm using the DaVinci 1. Not sure where it puts the file after it receives it over USB but the DaVinci ignores the M0 Gcode command. I just tried it. I'm going to try the G4 P30000 command, do nothing for 30 seconds. I'll try some other commands related to printing from the sd card. If anybody alrea...

Re: Pause at z pos

{REPLACE "; layer 100" "M0\n; layer 100"}
How long is the pause? Does it wait for some input from the user?
