Re: Problems with Quality (holes)

In my experience coasting causes alot of problems. You shouldn't need it with PLA

[ADDED] Automatic plane sensing

Think of this as an advanced drop to table mode which would allow the software to cycle through any flat faces on a model with user input. Perhaps by clicking on a desired surface. The software would automatically rotate the model and drop the selected face to the table.

Re: Multiple printer support.

I hope in the future this happens more seamlessly. I've heard people say they use the edit process button and load one for the printer you want to use, as an alternative to the configuration wizard. But for me that often messes up the graphic display of the printer on screen. It works but it creates...

Re: Avoid crossing outline not working in 4.1.1

I'm printing a single model. Sorry for my terse post it was late and I had just lost a 7 hr print. I will post the factory file tonight. The nozzle slams right into a column on the single model and breaks it off. Why does layer change fast travel happen before incrementing the z axis to the next lay...

Avoid crossing outline not working in 4.1.1

It's just being ignored. I have it set to a high number. Doesn't matter, slams the nozzle into a tall column anyway and breaks it. Infuriating of course. I can post a factory file, but why bother? We all know it's broken.

Re: Support Separation from part not working as expected. Circular support generation is horrible.

Supports are a big problem in 3D printing. I think the approach (for larger areas of support) should be to create a firm layer to build on as good as a raft, but elevated, and of course following the shape of the model above it. And for smaller areas I suppose the current approach is ok but still no...

Re: 4.1 and 4.1.1 Constantly Crashing. 4.0.1 Never Did.

I have 4.1.1 on a win 7 64bit. I don't get crashes like previously described however mine does crash when I try to update an existing profile. If I rename it and save as new it's fine. But if I try to update a profile it crashes every time.

Re: Line width vs. Extrusion width vs. Extrusion multiplier

However, depending on the surface you are printing on, you may desire a first layer to be squished somewhat to improve first layer adhesion. You could go through all that to get an e.g. .2mm first layer, and the print might lift off the bed during printing.

Re: Laser cutter on QU-BD Two-Up printer.

Sorry for the off topic reply but isn't Quintessential Universal Building Devices out of business? I tried contacting them by email and phone and never get a response. I tried to register on their online store and can't I get an error. I've tried from work and home. Also if you click on the contact ...
